Project Overview
The Atelier Pfister Collection is exclusively designed by established and emerging Swiss designers and curated by internationally renowned Swiss designer Alfredo Häberli. Annette Douglas has been part of the collection since 2010. The combination of high-quality materials, refined design and everyday functionality forms the core statement of her work for Atelier Pfister — design as a contribution to quality of life.

Concept and Design
The Atelier Pfister Collection 2016 is based on three metallic colour tones: aluminium, copper and brass. Contemporary design is reinterpreted through strong graphic patterns as well as elegant textiles inspired by natural aesthetics. For Annette Douglas, developing a new textile collection is comparable to cooking: a carefully balanced composition in which ingredients and flavours are combined to create a new sensory experience. Simpler elements are intentionally composed to give greater presence to the highlights of the collection. Some curtain fabrics are therefore deliberately kept plain, such as “Flaach” or “Glatt,” creating a calm foundation, while more expressive designs like “Kilchberg,” “Erlenbach,” or “Kloten” gain spatial emphasis and character. The names of the designs reference places in the home cantons of the designers, creating a distinct Swiss identity. Annette Douglas’ textiles within the collection carry the names “Kilchberg,” “Flaach,” “Erlenbach,” “Rifferswil,” “Marthalen,” “Rümlang,” “Kloten,” “Knonau,” “Elsau,” “Glatt,” and “Rafz.”

Development
The 2016 edition continues the success story of the Atelier Pfister Collection, expanding it with new textile interpretations and design perspectives.
