Project Overview
For the new Swiss Casino in Lokstadt Winterthur, Annette Douglas Textiles supplied acoustic curtains for a unique interior where industrial heritage meets contemporary entertainment.

Located in a former industrial site where heavy locomotives were once built, the casino brings new life to the historic setting. The textile solution contributes to a warm and inviting atmosphere while respecting the distinctive architectural character of the former industrial hall.

Acoustic Challenge
The large, open interior combines generous spatial volumes with hard surfaces characteristic of industrial architecture. In a lively casino environment with gaming, conversations, music and social interaction, controlling reverberation and background noise is essential for creating a comfortable atmosphere.

The challenge was to improve room acoustics without compromising the openness and impressive industrial character of the space.
