For Toni University Campus in Zurich

Tailor made textiles with function

The architects EM2N transformed from the seventies, the former Toni Dairy in Zurich into a university campus for 5000 students and faculty. Annette Douglas convinced the jury with her concept and was entrusted with the planning, design, development and budgeting of all curtains. About 350 rooms were fitted with curtains. The textile concept goes along with the concept of the architects, sometimes ponderous, robust and grainy. In the "pearl" rooms more detailed and refined like in the big concert hall. A masterpiece in the complexity in the dimension and all fire safety regulations.
