"Silent Space Collection" translucent acoustic fabrics - the original

Noise is annoying. It interrupts communication, reduces productivity and tires people out. Sound absorbing surfaces are therefore needed in rooms where people work, talk to each other or trying to relax. The "Silent Space Collection", the translucent sheers of Annette Douglas Textiles ACOUSTICS® „quench“ five times more sound than conventional translucent curtain.

The launch of the "Silent Space Collection" is the fruit of years research efforts, as part of a CTI project in close collaboration with EMPA (Federal Research Institute). The world's first creation, a translucent and effective acoustic fabric - the original. The collection is characterized by its elegance, its unique design, its tactile quality and its superior absorption values. This is a combination that has been lacking until now in modern architecture. The collection "Silent Space" astonish the experts, when they see the readings achieved - a Swiss innovation.

Despite their light weight, the translucent curtains have a sound absorption coefficient of alpha w 0.6. In combination with other materials they make an effective contribution to good room acoustics. The curtains can be used in a variety of places such as open plan offices, restaurants, hotel lobbies, seminar rooms and even multi-purpose auditoriums. All curtains in the collection "Silent Space" are flame retardent and comply with the most demanding European standards for public buildings (B1 in DIN 4102).

The collection "Silent Space" by Annette Douglas Textiles ACOUSTICS®, with the acoustic sheer fabrics „Streamer“, „Liquid“ and „Whisper“ bring a decisive contribution to meet current acoustic requirements.

And the translucent acoustic curtain collection is even the big winner of prestigious awards such as the "Swiss Design Award 2011", the "Red Dot Best of the Best 2012", the "Dwell on Design Award 2012" or the "EESC Award 2013" handed over from the European Union.
